She told me that she had had a RV center inspect the trailer and had said the crack was cosmetic and not to worry about it.:-) I called the owner to let her know I had arrived, and let her know she had a problem. When I parked it at the CG in Lake Havasu the crack disappeared when the weight was put back on the landing gear. There was a half inch gap extending from a front window frame to the bottom of the junction. At the first rest stop I took a closer look at the side. Going down the highway there was very noticeable bobbing of the front of the trailer as seen in my rearview mirror. When I started lifting the landing gear off the ground it seemed like it took longer than normal for the weight to settle on the truck. The owner wasn't at the pickup or drop off sites. I once towed a 5er from Rozwell, NM to Lake Havasu, AZ.

At the corner above where the horizontal frame bends down to vertical (or nearly vertical) the side skin was cracked. I had warning signs (which I ignored for too long). My faith in these folks is truly being shaken. Is this normal? Or, is this an indication that the wonderful and fabulous Lippert frame that this rig sits on is in a failure mode? Is this normal flex? Or, do I have missing welds, broken or missing cross members, or failures from metal fatigue? I will call Keystone first thing in the morning and probably get an ear-full of BS. A bottle jack under the pin confirmed the movement. The pin box is tight and anchored properly to the frame as near as I can tell. I didn't get very far poking around before I noticed a scruff mark on the pin box that indicated that the camper body had been moving up and down about 1/2" in relation to the pin box. Yesterday, after posting a wrap-up on a thread dealing with disc-brake conversion kits and concerned about the consistently marginal design features and sub-standard components used by some manufacturers as far as running gear, I started an in-depth inspection on my 2010 Cougar High Country.
